Hi everyone, I'm currently an MS I and very interested in Critical Care Med. I was wondering what you all have experienced in terms of CC docs and the amount of time they are able to spend with their families/away from work. I shadowed a CC doc for awhile. I got there around 8, he was there before for morning meetings almost everyday. I left around 5 when he was just doing paperwork. So, on-call aside b/c that depends on how many docs are in the dept., how much time have you seen CC docs able to spend away from work? I also know that I am only a naive MS I and may change my interests. Thanks a lot for any info.
