1. one of the supporting cells in brain tissue.
2. a nervous receptor for the sensation of
pressure.
3. the point of junction between two
neurolemma (Schwann) cells.
4. the point of near-contact between the
processes of two neurons (a synapse).


answer is 3
can any one explain ...why

I'm sorry but it's like asking NILEBDS why his name is Sherif ;)
I'm not sure what you mean by your question, that's the name of the points between alternating Schwann cells, where you see gaps in the myelin sheath surrounding the axon of the nerve... it's not a name of any cell, it's not a receptor, nor a synapse. So you are right the answer is 3
