This past Thursday, I was playing fullback in a soccer game. The ball was rolling/bouncing quickly towards a spot midway between me and an oncoming forward. We both rushed for the ball and kicked at it - I hit the ball and his foot, he just hit my foot. The result was a big toe full of stress fractures, a compound fracture in my index toe, and the front of my foot turning into a blue bruise.
So I've got a number of questions that I'd like to ask, since the doctors in the ER weren't forthcoming with any of this info and the demerol shot to the butt I got wiped my memory of the night clean.
Here are pictures from two days later. No one on the field and no one in the hospital had a digital camera, else I'd have a picture of my index toe hanging off my foot.

My foot is orange because I was instructed not to get it wet (no showers) for a few days so the cleaning agent dried on.

- How long before I can put weight on this without it feeling like my toe is about to pop?
- How long until the gash heals?
- How long until the bone will be completely healed?
- How long until I can wear normal shoes and return to an active lifestyle?
