Information from the PA Education Association:

The 2024-2025 CASPA cycle will open on April 25, 2024. Please see below for important cycle dates and information.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT - We encourage applicants to use the CASPA Applicant Help Center before starting an application.

CASPA FEES & FEE WAIVERS - The 24-25 CASPA application fee is $184 for the first designation and $61 for each additional designation.

Each year PAEA provides a limited number of fee waivers to applicants. The fee waiver covers the fee of the first two designations ($245). The applicant is responsible for fees for additional program designations beyond the amount of the first designatoin ($61 each).

To be considered for a CASPA fee waiver, the 2024-25 CASPA application must be created, complete the fee waiver application, and submit a copy of any required 2023 federal income tax returns. Fee waiver information can be found here.

APPLICATION ENHANCEMENTS - The enhancements listed below have been added to the 2024-25 CASPA application.

  • Added Life Experiences Essay to Personal Information > Other Information section (prompt language in attachment). Applicants can answer this optional essay which allows them to describe their unique life experiences relevant to holistic review in 2500 characters.
  • Standard Criminal Background Check question added to Personal Information > Other Information. This will replace the need for CBC questions in the Program Materials section (quadrant 4).
  • On-screen instructions for Experiences section updated. More details have been added to this section to clarify the different experience types and what activities may/may not fall under each category.
  • Military Affiliation section built out more intuitively with clear asks as far as previous/current/future military status, branch, and discharge.
  • On-screen instructions for Coursework Entry updated. More detail has been added to this section to clarify what needs to be reported, how courses should be entered, and answering common questions (such as how dual enrollment or study abroad courses should be listed).
  • Number of minimum requested evaluation letters needed for application submission reduced from three to two.
PAEA PROGRAM DIRECTORY - Visit the updated PAEA Program Directory to view PA program pages. The directory has a map view and a list view, allowing applicants to view the geographical span of our PA programs across the country. It also includes advanced filtering options such as GRE requirements, Veteran support, minimum GPA, etc. We've also included some additional data points for each program such as:

  • Supplemental Fee Waiver
  • Required Onsite Interview
  • Admission Type
  • Virtual Experience Hours Accepted
  • DACA Status Applicants Considered

PA VIRTUAL FAIRS - Chat with faculty and staff from 85+ PA programs across the U.S. for free on May 8th from 9AM-9PM ET.
