I just got my first post-I rejection, from a school that tends to admit >50% of their interviewees. I have also been wait-listed by another school already this cycle - both would be considered mid-tier schools. Now, I don't personally care about school ranking, but I am worried that if this is my track record so far, that my upcoming interviews with T20s will likely result in more Rs. Is this a reasonable fear? Should I be concerned about my interview skills?
When I interviewed I got accepted to my top 2 choices, and rejected from most "lower ranked" schools.

Each school is looking for different things. Just do your best.

There's no rhyme or reasoning to the application process for medical school even with a sound and strong application. If you have multiple post-I rejections then yes, I would start thinking about what's going on at that instance of interview but I wouldn't bank on 1 being the end all.
