Hello,
I am an OMS-2 HPSP student in San Antonio. As I understand it, there is an increasing frequency in the amount of times some of my 3rd and 4th year colleagues have not been able to find/not been assigned a preceptor for certain rotations and have ended up going weeks doing nothing as they sit in "limbo." Since I am a military student and near one the largest DoD healthcare facilities in the country, am I allowed to do core rotations at BAMC should the need arise? I am not completely sure how rotations work yet since I am still in second year, but just trying to think ahead as much as possible.
Thanks!

No, core rotations are scheduled for you. However elective rotations you can look into. There has to be a ‘training affiliation agreement’ between BAMC and your school or you do an active duty tour
