I can't believe they let the posted average/minimum board scores for each specialty. That's really helpful data.

I was surprised to see that ortho didn't fill their slots. Neither did ophtho

this is going to decrease dramatically if their new policy of requiring a utilization tour prior to fellowship sticks.

I'm skeptical of some of these statistics. I know through the grapevine of people who applied, but subsequently did not match ortho. I've heard PDs are not obligated to pick you up, but it would seem that's not accurately reflected in the match data.

I was also skeptical. I actually went on an ortho interview at MAMC and was told they were anticipating 30 applicants this year. Obviously people change their mind about specialties(I was one), but that would be a very surprising amount.
