Hello everyone! I am looking for feedback on my chances at medical school this cycle with solid stats, but average/below-average extracurriculars. Any words of advice and/or school recommendations are welcome and appreciated.

ORM, age 22

Clinical Experience
~1300 hours as a CNA

Research Experience and Productivity
~200 hours, human immunology research, abstract submitted for publication in a journal supplement

Shadowing Experience
-60 hours across a variety of specialties

Non-clinical volunteering
~80 hours with a local community center. Volunteering both independently and as the team leader for a small group of volunteers
-40 hours preparing meals to be delivered to homeless shelters

Other Extracurriculars
-35 hours as a member of a pre-med student organization
-500 hours working a summer job in landscaping/lawn care
-200 hours working a summer job in retail

Keep building your hours for nonclinical community service. Try to get it to 150 total hours when you submit your application.
Thanks for this advice. I was concerned about whether 100 or so hours would be enough, but it's helpful to have a clear number of hours to shoot for!
