Having 1 D or D+ on your transcript

I am taking organic chemistry II right now and I'm pretty sure I'll get either a D or D+. I am set to graduate next fall, which is a semester early. I don't have any other grades under a B-, so this is the only course that I have done extremely poor in. If I retake the class I would have to complete an additional semester. Orgo II is not a prereq for a lot of optometry schools so is it worth retaking? I'm sure I'd be asked about the grade in interviews, but I'm not sure how much of an impact it would have on admissions considering it's one of my major requirements and not an optometry prereq. My GPA is currently 3.86 and I still have to take my OAT

Can I ask what the circumstances were for you getting a D? What was your first semester grade? Why did you take organic 2?
