Can I be a vet with a GED?

Asked 2 years ago by Guest (120 points)

Hello, I'm a 16 year old high school student, well I was. I have severe anxiety and depression and my anxiety makes it hard for me to attend school. I've been having anxiety attacks every day at school so I stopped attending back at the end of Jan. Last month, we got a hold of the school board to help me and they said Ii only needed two credits to get out of the grade i'm in.... They ghosted on me. Meaning, they haven't returned our calls or even called us back like they were suppose to. So, i'm at the point where I feel like giving up. I've been struggling with school for years because of my mental illnesses and I've always stayed positive until now.  Could I become a vet with a GED? Would I be treated differently? What do I need to do? I'm just looking for answers because i'm on my own now. No one will help me and I've always wanted to be a veterinarian since I was little. Can someone please help me?

You should be able to. You will also need to take the prerequisite college courses as required by various vet schools.
